Monrovia welcomed more than a dozen of the world's leading plant breeders to the company's nursery in Dayton, Oregon, for the largest interactive perennial and shrub showcase in the West. The event was part of the Monrovia's Centennial Celebration.

Visitors, including retail customers, industry partners, and media, viewed more than 400 perennial and shrub varieties in the display and were able to vote for their trial favorites.

The top 10 selections were Andropogon Black Stallion from Intrinsic Perennials; Echinacea SunMagic™ Vintage Hot Red®, Echinacea SunMagic Chocolate Cherry®, and Echinacea SunMagic Double Hot Pink® all from Bull Plant Genetics; Hydrangea paniculata 'Little Spooky' from Concept Plants; Actaea 'Pink Spike' from Monrovia Exclusive; Sedum Hot Rocks™ Dark Leaf Red from Syngenta Flowers; Lavandula angustifolia 'La Diva Vintage Amethyst' from Dümmen Orange; Heuchera Fyre Wing™ 'Amber' from Terra Nova Nurseries; and Hydrangea macrophylla Centennial Ruby™ from Monrovia Exclusive.
